The Buffalo High School cross country team hosted their annual Boo-ffalo Fun Run on October 31. It had the most runners in the past 5 years in both the 5k and the kids races; approximately 50 kids ran in the kids events and 60 people ran in the 5k. Zion Lutheran Church Youth Group hosted their yearly Sinister Hallows scare trail on October 23 and 24 in the woods behind the Church. Yesterday (10/21), CIS writing and critical reading classes took to the cities to attend a University of Minnesota field trip. The morning began with a free writing session in the Coffman Union theatre, where students imagined their life in 15 years, including where they would work, who they would work with, and what they would create. The Buffalo High School choir groups had their first concert of the year yesterday evening, October 5. The concert opened at 7:00 pm with the national anthem sung by BHS Singers, an extracurricular audition group for upperclassmen led by choir teacher Zachariah Carlson-Giving. After years of gradual changes in test performance, Buffalo High School saw a noticeable bump in MCA and ACT scores this spring, with several scores rising above the Minnesota state average.
