Bison Season Ends in Close Battle
Buffalo falls 28-24 to Park Center in the first round of section playoffs
The Buffalo Bison (3-5) kicked off the first round of section playoffs against the Park Center Pirates (4-4), putting up a fight in their final game of the season.
The Bison got on the board with the first touchdown of the game by Grant Beckman ‘27, followed by an extra point by Kicker Cade Nissen ‘27.
Dolen Brisk ‘27 added another touchdown, with Nissen once again making the extra point.
The first quarter ended in a tie, 14-14.
Nissen added a field goal in the second quarter, giving the bison a 17-14 lead heading into halftime.
The score remained 17-14 through the end of third quarter as the Bison continued to battle.
Brisk scored another touchdown early in the fourth quarter, followed by another successful extra point from Nissen.
With just two minutes left in the fourth quarter, Lucas Phillips ‘27 made a key play by getting into the passing lane to help the Bison.
Despite their efforts, the Bison fell to the pirates 28-24 after park center converted to a fourth-down play into a 24-yard touchdown in the final second, ending the Bisons season.
