The concert opened at 7:00 pm with the national anthem sung by BHS Singers, an extracurricular audition group for upperclassmen led by choir teacher Zachariah Carlson-Giving. The intention of BHS Singers is to both provide a competitive environment for students looking for a challenge and also give members a chance to do some singing outside of their regular schedule. Following the official start of the night, Repertory Soprano-Alto then took the stage, who were followed in order by their other half, Repertory Tenor-Bass. The lineup then went back to BHS Singers before moving on to Varsity Choir, and ultimately closing with Concert.

In the final stretch of the night, Concert played 3 pieces, which included a fun performance of the Dolly Parton piece “Light of a Clear Blue Morning”, featuring soloist Kaylee Anderson ’27 and trio Margot Miller ‘27, Kendall Giddings ’27, and Madeline Krinke ‘27. “For our very first concert, it had such an amazing energy,” Concert Choir member Elizabeth Plaisted ’28 commented. “It was really beautiful to see all the first-time [choir members] come together and grow as a unit.” With the conclusion of the first music event of the 2026-27 school year, the musical season is now in full swing, with the next event being the fall Orchestra concert on October 22nd, 2026.
