Boo-ffalo Fun Run Hosts the Most Runners in the Past Five Years
The Cross Country Team hosted their annual Boo-ffalo Fun Run on Halloween
The Buffalo High School cross country team hosted their annual Boo-ffalo Fun Run on October 31. It had the most runners in the past 5 years in both the 5k and the kids races; approximately 50 kids ran in the kids events and 60 people ran in the 5k.
People of all ages ran, ranging from as young as 3 years old and up to 68 years old. Most people wore costumes, which made this event even more exciting and fun.
The cross country team met at the high school at 9:00 am to get ready for the event. At 10:30 the younger kids ran in the 200 meter race. Right after many of them ran in the 400 meter race with a few running for longer, up to a mile. Every kid got candy after they ran.
At 11:00 the 5k race began. The fastest time was 18:58 by Justin Woodruff, a former Buffalo cross country runner. Awards and prizes were given out at noon.
The Boo-ffalo fun run was a success as this annual event had the most participants in years and it was a fun way to start Halloween.
