Senior Year Starts Here

Seniors gather early to celebrate the start of their final year

As the sun began to rise over Buffalo High School, seniors gathered together to celebrate the start of their final year of high school.

Senior Sunrise gave the Class of 2027 an opportunity to spend time together, make memories and officially kick off their senior year.

The event took place on September 2nd, 2026, at Buffalo High School at 6:15am.

Seniors arrived early in the morning, some still waking up while others were already excited to start the day with their classmates. They gathered together, talked with friends and took pictures with each other making it a memorable morning for the class of 2027.

For many, the event was more than just getting up early to watch the sunrise. It was a reminder that their time at Buffalo High School is beginning to come to an end.

Senior Sunrise is one of the first major events of the school year that brings the senior class together. With graduation still several months away, the morning gave students a chance to think about everything they have experienced throughout high school and what is still ahead.

Along with celebrating the beginning of senior year, the event also highlighted how quickly the year will go by. They will experience many “lasts” throughout the school year, including their last homecoming, last football game, last school event, and eventually their last day as a Buffalo High School student.

For some students, Senior Sunrise was also a chance to reconnect with classmates and start the year surrounded by friends.

Although Senior Sunrise only lasted one morning, it marked the beginning of a year that seniors will likely remember for years to come.

As the sun rose, the Class of 2027 officially began its final chapter at Buffalo High School, one that will be filled with new memories, important milestones, and plenty of lasts before graduation.
