Today’s lunch of chicken teriyaki chicken rice bowl is a new school favorite, but a recent survey of BHS students shows it doesn’t quite make the best of the best list. “I love the salad bar line,” said Junior Kari Laplant. “Their turkey sandwiches taste just like Arby’s.” The top three BHS lunches are… 1. Chicken Patty on a Bun 2. Popcorn Chicken with Noodles and Alfredo or Oriental sauce 3. Friday’s Italian Pizza “Chicken…

Homework, everyone dreads it, and sometimes it just doesn’t get done. Sometimes it’s too much, or other times kids simply don’t have time. From sports, family, and just plain laziness schedules don’t seem to match up. But others have their own view on it. Junior Gunner Schwanke is known for his game sessions with his friends, or you can catch him in the pool during the swim/dive season. Schwanke gets caught up in both sports…

Ford or Chevy; which would you prefer? 306,990 people were asked that same question in a national poll. 52 percent preferred Chevy while the other 48 percent claimed Ford was the better choice. BHS students were given the same poll; out of the 73 polled, 41 students chose Chevy, 24 chose Ford, and eight students voted neither. “Chevy looks better and lasts longer,” said School Resource Officer Josh Ericson, who admits he drives a Ford…

After 4 incredible years, this is the final piece I will ever have the honor of writing for the Hoofprint. Although “lasts” have been plentiful this year, this is one of the harder ones to come to terms with. Writing has been my life through out high school, and now I can’t help but wonder if I have what it takes to make it in the real world. When people ask why I’m not more…

My name is Jacob Bastin, and like most students here at BHS, I have a routine I go through when I get home from school. Well, I used to anyway. Drop my backpack and jacket off, change into something more comfortable, grab a snack and a can of pop, and get on my computer to check my Facebook. Notifications, friend requests, game invites, messages, wall posts, comments…. the list keeps going, and before I knew…

Last week, February 7-11, students at BHS filled out a Valentines matchmaker questionnaire. This questionnaire was filled with questions that would match them up with someone that they are most compatible with. There are two sheets: Same grade and the rest of the school. We all have in some way used technology for the betterment of our lives in one way or another. For some, it’s become a habit to log on to Facebook to check out what their friends or family have been up to. Where as some simply log on to help get a quick message across. Both are participating in what we call, The Future of Social Networking. Place like Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, and even news…

As most of the student body at BHS has noticed, all of the soda machines in the high school have switched to diet. I’m assuming it’s just another attempt to make us healthy. I really don’t see how diet soda is any healthier than regular soda. If they were really concerned about our health, they would have gotten rid of soda altogether. All soft drinks are linked to obesity. The more pop you drink, the…
