On May 17, Globally Minded Student Activist (GMSA) will be holding a fundraiser, dedicated to raising money to aid in the battle against human trafficking. The 29th annual High School Art competition and Exhibition kicked off last night at the Paramount Theatre in St. Cloud. High School students around the state enter their artwork from detailed paintings and watercolor to sculpture or Ceramic peices. This year 15 schools and over 170 entries were submitted to the show; a record high since the show started in 1980. On February 19, the seniors of BHS filed the PAC.  Filling the position of the seniors before them.  They were notified of Senor Privileges and BHS’s All-Night Graduation Party.  Starting Feb. 23, these privileges are based on the past senior class.  Each helps to determine the privileges given to the next, helping to ensure minimum abuse.  This system encourages continuous leadership and integrity on part of the upper classmen. The upcoming edition of Buffalo High School’s Hoofprint will come out on February 26, with some changes. Hoofprint will now appear on an 11.75 by 12 inch, magazine and square like page.  The whole design of the paper will also change, such as fonts, captions, and coverage. As winter nights grow longer and the temperature drops, winter brings a dreary look to Buffalo High school. To lighten the mood and provide a break in the busy school routine, the school's National Honor Society hosts the winter fun week, Snowdays.

This week, Feb. 9 – 13, is Snow Days: Boys v. Girls. A time to help unify students after the holiday seasons. Students are invited to be active, dressing up and participating in the after school and triple A games. During this time multiple fundraisers are occurring, including: the Sam Munoz Memorial Fund, donations of school and art supplies, as well as books for young readers.
