The bison on saturday lost to the 5th ranked Cambridge Bluejackets. The bison lost by 18 points with a score of 141.275 to 123.475. In every event the bison got sweeped from the top three. The best finish all event was Nadja Vragovic Floor routine scoring a 8.5 and finishing 4th in the floor routine event. The Buffalo Nordic Ski team has had hardly enough time on the snow since the snow falls late into the season. Despite the lack of snow the team went and competed in St. Cloud Apollo’s man made snow course against 5 other teams. The Buffalo Gymnastics team spent last week gearing up for the take on of Cambridge Isanti: the team took a mental approach by each athlete setting their own measurable goals for tonight’s meet. The dual meet is held on December 17Th 2009, and on the following Saturday the team will head to St. Cloud Tech to compete in the 8 team invitational. The Bison on saturday played # 3 ranked team in State Moorehead. From the drop of the puck to the final horn the Bison were out scored 10-1. The Bison were out shot 25-56. The girls basketball season opened their regular season play this last week with games on Saturday and Thursday. The Mississippi8 and the Central Lakes conference were doing a tournament on Saturday against each other. So the coaches in each conference ranked their teams. The teams with equal ranks played each other. The Bison and Alexandria were both ranked number one by the coaches in their conferences and they played each other at Rogers high school.…

The basketball season has begun at Buffalo High School. The season runs from November to March, depending on how well the team does. You must win the section games before you can advance to state. The Boys Varsity Hockey team has been preparing for the 2009-2010 season since their Captains Practice began in October. But, the teams official try-outs did not began till Monday, November 16th. Throughout their week of try-outs the coaches evaluated players, and began to determine the players that would play on varsity and junior varsity. The Varsity girls basketball team opened their season this week with their 1st practice on Monday. The Bison said good-bye to 11 seniors after last years state appearance and had 9 new faces at practice on Monday. Buffalo held the 5th Boo-ffalo Halloween 5k and fun runs on Saturday October 31st. The 5k started at 12:00 p.m and the fun runs shortly followed. The run was helped out by the Buffalo track and field teams, and lead by Track coaches Scott Palmer, Dave Knutsen, Mary Bremmer, Jason Karn, and Evan Ronken.
