Wrestling’s origins can be traced back over 15,000 years ago to cave drawings in France. Wrestling became a professional sport in 1830 and since then many forms of wrestling have been introduced and the sport continues to grow. The Bison Boys’ Basketball team (4-19) was blown out by 50 points by the Rogers Royals (15-8) at home on Tuesday, February 16. BHS Freshman Amanda Montplaisir is in the top of all gymnasts in the western half of the US. On May 8-10 this year, she traveled to Spokane, Washington to participate in the Western National Gymnastics Championships. Every year, the top gymnasts in this half of the country gather to compete for national awards. 28 gymnasts in each of the 16 different age categories attend this competition.
