On Tuesday Novemer 3, the BHM District 877, had its third levy vote in two years. The polls were at the Buffalo Community Middle School and they were open from 7 a.m. to 8p.m. The superintendent Jim Bauck proposed a recommendation to the school board to renew the current levy and keep funding equal and not to add any new funding. On Monday, October 26sth, the Buffalo High School Concert choir blew us away with their amazing performance. The concert began at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center with an intermission halfway through; the cost was $7 for adults, and $5 for students. The Tatanka Yearbook and Hoofprint.net were awarded All-State Gold honors and The Hoofprint took All-State Silver at the Minnesota High School Press Association (MHSPA) Convention held at the University of Minnesota on October 20. All school publications are invited to participate in the competition. Of the 30 categories, Buffalo was mentioned 15 times. Three fire departments and many citizens responded to a reported fire near Bice Ave Nw Buffalo, MN around nine. So far it is uncertain if any individuals were in the building or as to what caused the fire. Police responded quickly, as well as many fire departments. The building appears to have been doused and the fire contained.

The girls Varsity soccer team played their last game of the season yesterday in Brainerd. It was the 2nd round of sections. They had previously beat St. Cloud Tech 3-0 in the opening round. They ended up falling short to Brainerd 2-0. Their regular season was wrapped up two weeks ago with two conference games. The first was scheduled on Tuesday against Monticello but because of weather the game got moved to Wednesday at 4:30. …

This annual event is a fundraiser for the concert band and concert choir’s spring trip which happens every two years, the year in-between is when the summer marching band takes their trip. The Variety Show also raises money for the two music scholarships that Buffalo High School gives out to a graduating male and female each year.
