On September 14th, 2026, Buffalo High School Seniors gathered in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) excited to hear the homecoming court candidates.
Seniors waited as the candidates were announced one by one, creating excitement throughout the PAC.
The Homecoming Court is one of the traditions that brings the senior class together during Homecoming week. For many students, being nominated is a memorable part of their senior year.
Two seniors who were nominated, shared what being on homecoming court meant to them.
“I felt really excited to see the support from the whole senior class,” Reiker Wignes ‘27 said. “It’s not just something that is about the 16 candidates, but rather about the community and school coming together at things like the pep rallies.”
While the nomination brought the senior class together, It also gave a personal reminder of worth.
“I was excited when I heard I was nominated because it showed me that the school recognized my worth,” Quincey Jackson ‘27 said. “ I’m excited to have a memory that I will be able to look at after graduation.”
The announcement officially kicked off the Homecoming season for the school, and gave the Class of 2027 another tradition to look forward to.
