Weight lifting competition begins Monday March 7th at 5:00 pm it will be hosted at Rogers High School, weigh-ins will begin at 4:15 pm. It will be open to all males and females 9-12 grade. Buffalo Girls’ Basketball hosted Hutchinson Wednesday night in what they called a friendly scrimmage. Hastings emailed Coach Sorenson wondering if they could set up a scrimmage to get ready for sections and Buffalo was more then willing to. Buffalo is the first seed for their section in class 4A and Hutchinson is also the first seed for their section but in 3A. The scrimmage went three quarters, twenty minutes each. The Bison Boys’ Basketball Team fought hard against Big Lake, but it wasn’t enough. Big Lake beat Buffalo 63-58 in over time. The Bison earned at least a share of the Mississippi 8 Conference Championships for the fifth season in a row. The home Bison boys and girls basketball, double-header on Friday night resulted in victory for both teams. Although both teams were close at half, the girls lead the night with a 45-22 victory over Becker, and the boys’ followed with a 59-34 win. Friday also celebrated the seniors for both the boys and girls teams. Last weekend, February 25 & 26, the Boys’ Swim and Dive team participated in the Section 8AA meet in Alexandria. Prelims were on Friday and Finals were on Saturday.
