On Friday May 29 many Buffalo Athletes competed in Section Finals at Gustavus Adolphus College. The Bison had a very strong team this year and were expected to do very good things at the Sectional meet. Throughout the 2009 summer students will be busy with many different types of school related activities. Along with no summer school this year teachers, and staff will also be occupied with different things. Every year www.rockthebelt.org has a Buckle Up Teens! contest.  Minnesotan teenagers make their own T.V. commercials educating their peers about the importance of buckling up.  Eventually there are six finalists, and this year two of the six are from BHS.  Juniors Neil Gleason and Michael Bonde both made it to the top six, and now they are waiting for the results.      “I entered the contest last year and got into the top three,”…

The 29th annual High School Art competition and Exhibition kicked off last night at the Paramount Theatre in St. Cloud. High School students around the state enter their artwork from detailed paintings and watercolor to sculpture or Ceramic peices. This year 15 schools and over 170 entries were submitted to the show; a record high since the show started in 1980.              Students scour the lunchroom, looking under chairs for treats on Halloween. Around Christmas-time students write down their wishes and drop them into the wish-box, hoping for them to come true.  Three days later, a few are granted.  The yearbook staff is in a frenzy towards the end of the year, rushing to get things done.  Just when things couldn’t get anymore stressful, cookies are dropped off at the hectic room to lighten the mood. …

On February 27, the Buffalo Mock trial team left the High school to board a bus and drive to a courthouse in Cambridge. It’s round five of regionals, the last and the final round determining who advances to State.
