A political uprising in Egypt began on January 25, 2011 in Cairo, Alexandria. The protest was organized through social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. Students at Discovery Elementary School grew lettuce in their classrooms within a six week time period through a program called “Grow Lunch,” with the intent to promote healthy eating within the student body. There are 700 BHS students that drive to school everyday. Besides school, they also have to get to work, sports, and anything else they have going on.
