On Tuesday, May 31, seven cakes were displayed in the lunch room to be voted on by students and staff. The cakes were made and decorated by the gourmet foods class over a span of about two days. The class originally produced 14 cakes, which were narrowed down to the final seven through class votes. Senior Jerome Begin qualified for nationals in the 110 hurdles. The USATF track nationals are held in Eugene, Oregon. Begin will race June 22-25. He’s ranked number one in state in the 110 hurdles and number three in the 300 hurdles. In the 110 hurdles he has a best time of 14.27, the national qualifying time is 14.5.  Begin’s best 300 time is 38.75 with the national qualifying time of 37.6, which he can still improve on at state. “Definitely nervous about…

Sunday June 12 to Sunday June 19 is the week of Buffalo Days. This includes activities such as fireworks, a carnival, and a parade. In the parade the five girls running for Miss Buffalo will be featured. The girls are Seniors Sadie Holland, Sarah Oliver, Padriana Jordan, Mary Zelko, and Kaylene Born. On May 17, the first season of Buffalo Lacrosse officially ended. The Boys Varsity lacrosse team went 1-10, winning against Elk River in regular season play, and 0-1 in playoffs.
