Seniors Emerge Victorious in Powderpuff Game

K-9 Unit defeated Bison on the Creek in the annual tradition

The Powderpuff tournament was held at Bentfield Mills park last night (9/20).

Powderpuff is a Homecoming Week tradition that involves a total of four teams; two for juniors and two for seniors, each team being coached by members of the Buffalo football team. Teams can create their own names, taglines, and even their own jerseys as they opt to enter into the competition.

In the tournament, teams face off in a game of two touch football in bracket play style. In the first round, the two junior teams are set against each other, with the senior teams playing on a separate field. Once the two matches conclude, the resulting winners and losers of each game face off to decide the final rankings.

This year, the senior ‘K-9 unit’ team came out on top, with the ‘Bison on the Creek’ juniors placing 2nd.
