Benson Leads Bison Football to First Home Sections Win In 15 Years.

Bensons three rushing touchdowns, strong defense, take bison to the next round in playoffs.

The Bison Football Team won their first home section game in 15 years behind three rushing touchdowns by Quarterback Grant Benson ‘26. They beat the Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons 22-7 on Saturday night.

To start the game strong, in the first quarter, Benson gave Bison their first touchdown. 

The first quarter ended with the Bison up 6-0.

Throughout the second quarter, Bison struggled to keep up their first quarter momentum. The Bison didn’t score any more points, with the Falcons taking advantage, ending the half in their favor 6-7. 

To start the third quarter out, Lucas Phillips ‘27 recovered a fumble and gave the Bison strong field position. Benson took advantage with his second touchdown of the game.

The third quarter ended with a 12- 7 Bison lead. 

Benson rushed for his third touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter, following that, Jacob Hahssey ‘26 kicked a field goal to bring the final score to 22 to 7.

The Bison play this Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Spring Lake Park.
