The Buffalo High School Boys Soccer Team earned a decisive 3-0 win against Sartell High School on Tuesday night in Sartell, Minnesota, showing off strong defense and offensive control all throughout the night.
The Bison jumped to an early lead when Wyatt Anderson scored off a set piece, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Buffalo controlled the pace of the game and had the majority of the possession. They created many scoring opportunities, and despite a lot of missed chances, the team’s defense held solid and prevented Sartell from scoring.
“I thought they played decent,” team manager Jack Anderson said. “We had a lot of shots and controlled the midfield. Tanner Schrepfer made some clutch saves, including one on a breakaway.”
Schrepfer, returning to goal after a short break, made six saves to seal the shutout, while Gavin Johnson’s speed created many scoring opportunities for the strong Buffalo team.
The Buffalo Bison aim to build on the momentum by improving bench energy and confidence as they continue to push through their season, playing some of the best competition in the state.
