As you go through your high school career, one of the many factors being a student is the drama, and excitement of perhaps being in a relationship. Attempting to pile all the responsibilities that have been shouldered onto you while at the same time trying to get to know, and ultimately love another person who could be going through the same things schoolwise sounds like it could be a challenge. This isn’t something that happened here in Buffalo, nor near here, but I got to thinking in some altered universe, what if a student did drown here in our district? “It would be really sad, but they can’t look at everybody,” said sophomore Maria Zimmerman. “It would be tragic and sad. For many, the hunt starts in early…

Love is in the air!… Or not? Valentines Day is widely known as a day to let that special someone or family and friends know how much you care about them. It is also a day of bitterness for some people. Valentine’s Day has now been frequently referred to as “Single Awareness Day” because of the main focus being on couples. “You think you are single now but just wait until Valentine’s Day, then you…

As many of you know, Justin Bieber was recently arrested and charged for driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and driving with an expired drivers license of over six months. As a matter of fact, Bieber was arrested a second time earlier this week. If you walk down the halls here at Buffalo High School you’ll hear many conversations going on between each group of friends. Conversations about who is dating who, or what everyone’s…

Other than a couple songs and an extreme hair cut, Miley Cyrus has been pretty under the radar since Disney’s Hannah Montana ended in 2011. “I feel like she’s changed a lot over the years. She used to be Disney poster child,” said Junior Lauren Schultz. “I think because we haven’t heard a lot about her in a while it was a big deal that she came out with a new song.” Lately, Miley has been blowing up…

Last Friday, it was Student Appreciation day. The students of BHS were rewarded with extended lunch periods, free ice cream and they received their 2013 Yearbooks. Many of the students enjoyed the book and their time they got to spend signing them with friends. The reactions were both positive and negative. Here are some of the students reactions: “I liked it. I thought it was really nicely put together,” said Senior Chris Peterson. “It was…
