It’s that time of year again… February, 14. The either dreaded or anticipated day. It’s when flower shops and candy stores increase their sales, it’s when people of all ages confess their feelings for each other, and young kids stay up late making a little treat for each student in class. Does all of this seem too mushy, or is it special and memorable? Single students perspectives: “I think it’s a dumb holiday because obviously…

Are you or someone you know a sports bandwagoner? A sports bandwagon fan is someone who only supports a team in periods of success. These are the people you see wearing Chicago Blackhawks hats not knowing what sport they play, or people who just started to like a team that recently won a championship. Bandwagoners make the years of loyalty and dedication for a team’s true fans go unrecognized and unappreciated. “I wear my Avalanche…

There has been a new change in the lunchroom which makes students and teachers have to pay to put the schools dressings on lunches brought from home. Instead of having the dressing cart located in the cafeteria it is now next to the lunch lines and is closely watched by a food service worker. “I don’t like [the new change],” said sophomore Jack Freitag. “I don’t get why it matters if I use the dressing…

“We shouldn’t have to pay $100 a year to park in the school parking lot,” said Senior Shianne Kempel. “The potholes aren’t fixed and they don’t plow it when it snows. Think about how much money the school makes in just parking lot fees per student. They can definitely afford to fix the potholes, repaint the lines, and plow the snow with that kind of money.” The student parking lot is leaving many students and…

The past couple of years we have had some long winters. So far, this year seems to be going differently. It got cold a lot quicker, and had the first big snowfall early. Since then, there hasn’t been too much snow. Lately it’s been warming up. It feels like spring. So this brings the question, is winter over already? Most people at BHS don’t seem to think so. “I like the warm weather, I’m kind…
