The BCMS pool is used year-round by the Girls and Boys High School swim teams, Wave Swim Club, Community Ed Swim Lessons, and Open Swim. It was built in 1988, and it has been an uphill battle to keep it operational. One major concern is the starting blocks that have been deemed a safety hazard by MSHSL officials. With the cost of the blocks being $6,000 a piece, it is an unexpected expense that the…

Class of 2025, this is the moment you’ve all worked for, what you’ve all dreamed of; it almost doesn’t seem real that the time has come. Collections are much more than just an assortment of items gathering dust on a shelf. Whether it’s stamps, coins, or even TV show memorabilia, collecting can be a deeply meaningful and enriching hobby. But why do people collect? Every day, about 34 people in the United States die in drunk-driving related crashes — that’s one person every 42 minutes. Brielle Sebey ‘27 has dreamed of studying radiology for the past three years, almost certain it was her future career. More often than not, it won’t be what was listed on the menu. Students often recall times when the staff had to microwave more food to keep up with the demand or when the lunch option they would…

The cubes are skyrocketing in popularity and students can now spot the purple, blue, and pink cubes…

Every year immediately after Halloween, Christmas starts to take over the topic of conversations. The month before Christmas is many BHS students’ favorite time of the year. It’s the time of the year when kids begin crafting their Christmas Wishlists for their parents or friends. Making Google Slideshows has become a popular way to showcase Christmas lists over the past couple of years. It is a way to present your list to your parents and…

Author’s Note: For any student looking toward pursuing a higher education through college, phrases along the lines of “studying abroad will change your life,” are all too familiar. As someone who wants to study abroad, I try to treat these statements as true, especially after hearing personal stories from students who believe their experiences in studying abroad have changed their perspective. But what about teachers? Do they experience a similar shift in perspective after they’ve…
