BHS Choirs are going to have a concert on March 30. Up to three friends and family members per choir member are allowed to attend and TICKETS are $4 each. There will be no live, in-person ticket purchases. The event will be socially distanced by pods, with strict entering and exiting times for each portion. The Bison Varsity Mock Trial team advanced to the State A Competition on Thursday after defeating St. John’s Prep at the Super Region 1-3 Rounds. The virtual meet, held on Zoom, featured the Bison on defense and the Johnnies as the plaintiffs in a civil case. This morning, Superintendent Scott Thielman cancelled the band, choir, and orchestra trip to New York scheduled for Spring Break due to fears about the spread of COVID-19. It is not clear yet whether the over 100 students committed to attending the trip will be refunded some or all of the money they paid for the trip. The Herd Winter Drumline had their home show on February 15. The event was a chance for the program to showcase a new vision and new leadership to a home audience. Buffalo High School’s One Act Play, Watermelon Hill, earned the highest honor possible, a Starred Performance at the State Festival, on February 7th at Saint Catherine’s University. The award is the first Starred Performance for Buffalo in four years. This past Friday, students filled Bison Field West for the annual Bison Field Festival. This occurs every year on the last Friday before the end of the school year. The Buffalo Knowledge Bowl Teams wrapped up their season on March 18 at their regional competition. The Varsity 1 team finished in their division at fourth place, just a few points shy of advancing to the State level.
