The HERD Winter Drumline celebrated a State win on Saturday, April 9. Prism, their show, competed against five different schools in the Scholastic Regional A Class. “Our directors told us that judges sometimes like drama at finals. When he said that, knowing we had an undefeated season, I wasn’t expecting to win,” said senior Claudia Staut, who has been with the drumline since 8th grade. The team hasn’t been to the state finals competition since…

But not only theatre helps build self-confidence and build trustful friendships, theatre also provides a fun and entertaining experience for students to take on a new role and be as big, expressive, and, obviously, LOUD as they…

In a school like BHS there are few days each year that allow any and all students to have a night to jump, dance, and have fun with all their friends and fellow students. BHS only has two of these events throughout each school year. Homecoming, which takes place in late September or early October, and Prom in early May. Unlike BHS, most schools have three, four, or even five yearly dances. These come in…

After a year without a typical Homecoming and almost two years without a normal school scene, Homecoming Week proved to be a very relaxing break from the “new normal” that started right before Spring Break in April of 2020. A yearly tradition to dress up for themes over a week, go to a home football game and a following “Fun Night” on Friday, and take part in the second most formal dance of the year,…
