At the end of second quarter, former Family and Consumer Science (FACS) teacher Judith Titcomb retired.This may have you wondering is someone replacing her? FACS students looked at their schedules to see Bonnie White. Many asked who is this? I thought I had Mrs. Titcomb?
Bonnie White has become the new BHS FACS teacher. She has taught FACS for 16 years in Owatonna Minnesota.
She has not found too many big differences between the schools but there is one she likes. “I really appreciate and think is a unique concept is the AAA/Bison time at the end of the day. It seems to be a win-win for everyone” states Mrs. White.
The classes she is teaching are Creative Foods and Hospitality Foods. Mrs. White said, “My greatest desire for my FACS students this year, since I am teaching all foods classes, is that my students learn that cooking is an incredible art that continues to grow and evolve.”
For some students that will be true. They will fall in love with cooking and realize that they have a passion for it.
“I want them to leave with a passion for cooking that will continue on with them when they leave my class” said Mrs. White.
