Volleyball team off to a conference-leading start
The girls’ volleyball teams have been dominating their opponents with an 11-0 record so far this season.
“I’m so proud of them, they’ve worked really hard and I’ll miss all of the senior volleyball girls on varsity,” said Assistant Coach Rebecca Karna.
“I think our best game was our very first game. It was against Delano High School, the whole time during that game all I was thinking about was winning,” said Senior Brooke Simonson.
Simonson is a senior on the girl’s varsity volleyball team. She has been playing volleyball since she was in seventh grade. Her position that she plays is on the right side of the court.
There are 21 girls all together in the girl’s volleyball. 11 of the girls on the varsity team, and ten on the junior varsity team. They all try to do little get-togethers and have team bonding activities most of the time, but usually after games they go home and just do homework and sleep.
“We’re all like a family, I’ve made some of the nest friends on the volleyball team,” said Simonson.
The varsity team’s next match is tomorrow, September 23, at Chanhassen at 7:00 P.M.
