Vietnam veteran Gary Gullickson will be visiting Buffalo High School on Thursday, January 13 in the PAC for the 10th consecutive year to speak about his gruesome experiences in the Vietnam war.
Every year Gullickson comes to visit the current social studies classes as a whole to tell us all of his experiences with flying planes, seeing friends killed right before him and what it was like to feel like your life was just about to end.
“It was interesting to hear about his battle experiences first hand and not have to read it from a text book,” said Junior Marissa DiOrio.
According to History.com, 91% of Vietnam Veterans say they are glad they served and 74% said they would serve again even knowing the outcome.
