Theater Program Attends Retreat in Preparation for Fall Musical
The group has one month left before opening night of The Hunchback of Notre Dame production
Immediately after getting back from a theater retreat, the Buffalo High School theater group began rehearsing for their next show, The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
The cast and crew have been working hard every day after school to prepare for the musical, they only have two months to get all of the props, costumes, and acting perfected.
“[The show is] dependent on how hard people work,” Cast member Dalinda Gravely ‘26 said. “The cast this year is made of about 60 people, and most of the 2 months are used for getting the props together.”
According to Gravely, last year’s theater groups didn’t feel as prepared, so they’re working hard to make sure this year’s show goes to plan without any roadblocks. Members involved in the production attended a retreat on September 21 at Zion Lutheran Church, where they got to know each other and went over what needed to be done to prepare for a successful show.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame will take place on November 14 for opening day at 7:30 pm and will continue the next two days at the same time. The final show on November 17 will take place at 2:30 pm.
