The Cancelled Bison Ball
Predicted weather resulted in a disappointing announcement for BHS students

The annual Bison Ball was to take place on the eighth of February, however, the dance was cancelled due to predicted weather conditions. For many, the announcement had little effect on their Saturday night plan.
Kelcie Bode ’27 shared her opinion on the cancellation of the dance. “I wasn’t planning on going, but I know people were,” Bode said. “It was disappointing for some because they had bought tickets and dresses prior to the dance”.
Many people and their schedules were left unchanged after the sudden cancellation, but some were left with a disappointing Saturday. Student council members had planned the dance for weeks, but sadly, students were unable to enjoy their work.
Rosary Gilbertson ’27, a member of the student council, shared her opinion on the cancellation of the Bison Ball. “I think that [the cancellation] really sucked, because we put a lot of work and time into planning the dance,” Gilbertson said. “We still got to do the RAVE week events prior to the dance, which was nice.”
