Skipping Breakfast is More than Fasting
Even though proven unhealthy, many students at BHS skip breakfast. Habits, appetite and most of all time are all to blame.
I only eat breakfast on the weekend, I’m not hungry before school and I just don’t have time, said Sophomore Ron Walz.
Senior Eric Nelson has breakfast every morning despite a commute from Corcoran.
“I eat breakfast everyday because I want to feel good all morning. I start out everyday with a bowl of Reese’s Puffs,” said Nelson.
Other reasons for skipping breakfast is laziness, preparing a good breakfast takes time.
“I consider myself a pancake guy. Skipping breakfast makes me lose weight because it’s skipping a meal,” said Freshman Elijiah Driver.
Senior Joey Merz eats breakfast everyday but Sundays.
“My favorite thing is french toast, not french toast sticks, just french toast,” said Merz.
Students at BHS don’t necessarily skip breakfast to lose weight. Many other reasons are to credit for the lack of food.
“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” said Merz.
