The shoe game at BHS is very diverse. From Skechers to Birkenstocks to Huaraches to Cowboy boots, BHS has a wide variety of shoes as well as people. Shoes tend to reflect who people are as a person for example, what friend groups they may be in. People tend to wear the “trendier” shoes then what is comfortable. When looking around BHS, you’ll see a lot of the same shoe brands,
A more recently popular brand is the Converse. For convenience and style these can be a nice go to. “I wear converse because they come in a lot of different colors and you can wear them with just about anything,” said Junior Hannah Willard.
Some people don’t wear shoes for convenience. They will wear shoes that hurt them just for the looks. “Beauty is pain that’s why I wear heels,” said Senior Gabbie Przekurat.
Shoes can really make or break an outfit. “I try to buy nice shoes because they bring the outfit together, you could be rocking green sweatpants and a bro tank but if you have the Air Force 180s you good,” said Junior Josh Anderson.
No matter what shoes you wear throughout high school; never let other people’s opinions get the best of you. That’s exactly what Senior Josh Skarin does. “My shoes are fresh to death. Some people say they look like old people shoes, but my haters are my motivators so I rep them even harder,” said Skarin.
