On the Road to Success
You’re driving down the road with your hand out your window in your 1970 Plymouth Superbird feeling like nothing and no one can stop you. At least that is how it will feel like in the future for Senior Travis Smith.
Smith has liked cars his whole life. He started liking cars because his dad loved them and it ‘rubbed off’ onto Smith. Beside just liking cars Smith also draws them.
“I have been drawing cars ever since I could hold a pencil.” Smith said, “I like drawing them because I find it fun and it keeps me entertained when I am bored and have nothing to do.”
Besides just drawing cars for fun Smith plans to have a job in the car industry.
“I would like to be an automotive body repair and mechanic so I can possibly own or work at a car restoration shop,” said Smith.
In order to get his dream job Smith knows that he needs to further his education.
“I’m going to St. Cloud Tech. for college because they have high ratings for their automotive body repair class, their high employment rate and because their class prices are pretty fair also,” Smith commented.
Just last week Smith was accepted into St. Cloud Tech and now all he was to do is to schedule the accuplacer test and he is set for his future dream job.
“I just hope that I will be working at a classic restoration shop and slowly work on my dream car during my free time,” Smith said.
