New Extended Days Start
Extended day is for students that are behind in credits and need to make them up. Each quarter, two extended day classes are offered. One class will be Monday and Wednesday. The other class will be Tuesdays and Thursdays. The classes go from 2:30 to 4:30 after school. If you think you need to make up credits and are interested in extended day, go talk to your counselor or your counselor may come talk to you first.
This quarter’s extended classes are Math with Mr. Peterson and Contemporary Literature with Ms. Kunz. The math extended day starts November 30th and goes to January 27th. The Contemporary Literature extended day starts December 1 and ends January 21. The math class will be Mondays and Wednesdays, the english class will be Tuesdays and Thursdays. Most of the work is like independent study, you do most of it on your own. Each extended day class is work half of a credit.
Attendance is important in extended day, twelve sessions will equal a half credit, which is perfect attendance. People who don’t show up the first day may be dropped from the class. If you withdraw from an extended day or are kicked out of one, you will not be able to take one the next term. There will be on the week of December 21. There is one make up day at the end of the term but it’s only for kids that have an excused absences.
