High school relationships
Relationships are a delicate topic when it comes to any age group, but the high school years are often overlooked, deemed to be not particularly important. The majority of the time, high school relationships do not last, as only two percent of new marriages in North America are comprised of “high school sweethearts.” Relationships are never easy but when you add classes, work, family, and friends it can be hard to balance.
Senior Hailey Moser says, “Relationships aren’t always easy, but if you truly love someone you can get through anything.”
Walking through the hallways after class can be very busy, but when you have to walk through couples making out it can be awkward, some couples show more PDA than others. Factoring in parents can also affect how a relationship works, some can be very supportive and some believe you shouldn’t date until later in life.
Senior Natalie Peyer says, “Some people think things will get easier the longer you are in a relationship with someone but its not always like that, every relationship is going to have its problems but you just have to get through it if you see a future with them.”
It will be interesting to see how many high school relationships last after school. There are some couples that have been together for a while and it will be cool to see how long they last after school.
