Football Moves to 3-1 with Convincing Win over Armstrong

The Bison led the entire game after scoring twice in the first quarter.

The Buffalo Bison brought their pride tonight in a dominating game against the Falcons, winning 27-21.The Bison brought their 2-1 record against the Armstrong Falcons, leaving with a new record 3-1.

In the first quarter, Wide Receiver Matthew Jordan ‘27 gained the Bison a 66-yard first down. Following the first down, Running Back Zeke Afonja ‘28 put Bison on the scoreboard with his first varsity touchdown. Minutes later, wide receiver Jackson Coss ‘26 gained the Bison yet another touchdown. The first quarter ended 12-0 with the Bison in the lead.

In the second quarter, the Bison worked together down the field, setting up a chance for a touchdown, and quarterback Grant Benson ‘26 completed the touchdown. The Bison kept the Falcons down, ending the second quarter 19-7.

Wide Receiver Hendrix Gatz responded to the Falcons’ touchdown in the third quarter with a huge run, putting the bison closer to the end zone. Following, Quarterback Grant Benson ‘26 passed to Wide receiver Matthew Jordan ‘27, who did a sneaky pass to Wide receiver Jackson Coss ‘26, who bolted down the field, giving the Bison yet another touchdown.

Bison did a phenomenal job at pushing against the Falcons in the last quarter to keep them ahead and taking home the win.
