First H1N1 Death in NY

A high school administrator died last Sunday at Flushing Hospital Medical Center from H1N1, or Swine Flu. Mitchell Wiener, 55, was sick for nearly a week with the virus after students came back from spring break.

According to USA Today, the outbreak in New York started three weeks ago when students returned from vacations in Mexico to a Catholic school in Queens. The school was closed immediately due to the risk of infection. Several other schools in the area have been closed as well, in an effort to quarentine the potentially deadly virus.
