Everything You Need To Know For Getting To The Game
With the State basketball tournament coming up on Wednesday the school has put together a fan bus for the students and a modified schedule. Students will be able to get out of school at 12 o’clock and be excused with permission from a parent.
“If students ride the fan bus it is an excused absence if they bring the parent permission slip, which we have the forms [in the lunchroom],” said Principal Mark Mischke. “If they turn in the appropriate information and get their parents signature then it’s an excused absence, but if you ride the fan bus to the game you must ride it back.”
Although, some students plan to be driving to the game. For students that drive, they can also get an excused absence if their parents call in for their child.
“If students drive, they must have their parents call in for it to be an excused absence,” said Mischke. “We would suggest they try to follow the same timeline we follow here, but if a parent does call their kid in earlier or later, thats up to the parent for when they want to excuse them.”
Now obviously not all students will be attending the game. So for students staying behind there will be a modified schedule that will start lunches a half hour earlier and have a slightly longer fourth block.
“For what students miss it depends on the instructor and how many students are in the classroom,” said Mischke. “A lot depends on how many kids go.”
Buffalo will be taking on Lakeville North Wednesday at 2 pm at the Target Center.
