Boys golf making history and preparing for sections
Outlook for the rest of the boys golf season
The boys’ golf team just recently tied a school record at Riverwood National Golf Course in Monticello. The total accumulative score of 294 has now been reached twice by Buffalo’s boys’ golf team. With this record-tying score, it is giving the team some confidence and momentum moving late into the season
With the end of the spring sports coming fast and the golf season getting closer to playoffs, this means the boys’ golf team has to start preparing for sections. Sections are two days of meets that take place on the May 29 and the 30 at Site Headwaters Golf Club in Park Rapids.
Senior John Russett, a starter on the boys’ varsity squad, had this to say about sections which are coming up soon.
Russett said, “I think we have a really solid team this year. We are all talented enough to be able to put up a couple good rounds together to give us a very good chance of going to state.”
If you are planning on watching the sectionals, the first day starts at 1:30 pm followed by the second day which starts at 8:00 am.
