This year’s Varsity Boys Hockey team has been going strong throughout the 2008-2009 season with 13 wins, and only 6 losses. Leading scorer, Zach Blaisdell, is a key player in the team’s success holding 27 pts followed close behind by Alec Ackmann and Josh Gaughan. Hopefully the team will be able to carry on their success to this year’s FSN game held Tuesday, February 10th.
Last year the stands were filled with screaming fans and flashing cameras as our hockey team took on the Cloquet Lumberjacks. We look forward to this year bringing us more luck than last year when our Buffalo Bison lost 3-2 to Cloquet. Last year many friends and family of our hockey team’s players filled the stands in support of our team. Jumping up and down yelling out in excitement fan senior Travis Lang remembers the best part about last years FSN game.
“I would have to say having so many fans there, the whole place was full, also the closeness of the game up until the end.”
With all of the enthusiasm from both players and fans this game, this will be no doubt one of the most fun of the season. We look forward to seeing many fans there, and don’t forget to wear your black in support of our Buffalo Bison hockey team!
