BHS students in the special education department enjoyed Prom at the Medina ballroom on Friday May 6.
Seniors Adam Johnson, Brandon Anderson, Sarah Peter, Junior Joe Hanson, and Sophomore Lindsay Wahlstrom along with staff and parents, were invited to a semi- formal dance for students with special needs around the metro area.
The party started at 10 a.m. with a prepared lunch in the dining area. BHS students mingled with other schools’ students and had fun showing off their moves on the dance floor.
“It loved to watch everyone have fun dancing. One kid from another school knew all the moves to the song Thriller and danced perfectly when it came on,” said Student council member Carmen Huhn, who also attended the dance.
The theme of the prom was “Shine with the stars” and that is exactly what BHS students did.
