Bad News Mac n’ Cheese
As much as you love your macaroni and cheese, don’t eat it quite yet. Kraft issued a recall on 242,000 boxes of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese dinners, due to the risk that they may contain small pieces of metal. Kraft said the latest recall applied to 7.25-ounce packs of “original” flavor of the product with “best when used by” dates of Sept. 18, 2015 through Oct. 11, 2015 with the manufacturing code “C2.”
“We deeply apologize to the consumers we have disappointed.” Said Joyce Hodel, a Kraft spokeswoman.
Kraft believes that a piece of stainless steel got wedged in a metal piece of equipment, potentially causing small pieces of metal to fall into the product.
No injuries as a result of the potential incident have been reported, but eight consumers have reached out to contact Kraft about the issue.
Kraft states that you should not consume the product if it matches the recall description, no matter how tempting it may be. Kraft wants to prevent as many injuries as possible.
This comes as a hard blow to all of the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese lovers all over. We will now need to check the box before we indulge in our cheesy creamy goodness of Macaroni.
