The Bison on saturday played # 3 ranked team in State Moorehead. From the drop of the puck to the final horn the Bison were out scored 10-1. The Bison were out shot 25-56. The lose dropped the Bision’s record to one and four. After coming off the 7-2 win over Big Lake/ Becker, where the Bision out shot Big Lake/Becker 56-16. Big Lake/Becker scored both their goals off 5 on 3 power plays.
“I think we played descent,” said Junior Hunter Vollbrunt, “We just need to keep on working hard on our defence of zone coverage. They passed the puck well and cycled the puck very well on us.”
The Bision go away on Saturday to Hopkins. Hopkins has a one and four record losing to class A power houses (#4) Hermantown 4-1 and (#8) Virginia 6-3. They have also lost to local rials Rogeer 4-3 and US women’s national 3-2. The only win for Hopkins was posted against North St. Paul 5-3.
