As students put off purchasing their semester parking permits, more and more warning slips are handed out. Walking to their cars, students pass the rows of cars with the little slips of paper placed under the windshield wipers.
“We try to give out at least two warnings before receiving the boot,” said Assistant Principal Brandon Prell. “We try to avoid taking it that far because teachers don’t want to deal with it any more than the students do.”
According to Prell, the prices are likely to remain the same next year. The money paid for the permits goes to the district office general fund. If students can’t afford the permit or just want to save money, they have the option to take the bus or carpool.
