Volleyball Team Stays Positive Despite Recent Setbacks
They head into tonight's matchup against The Skippers 0-9
The girls’ volleyball team had a disappointing loss against Andover at home Tuesday night, a result of small mistakes in critical moments. Their record for the season is 0-9 as they head into a tough matchup against Minnetonka tonight.
They lost the first game, managed to bring it back, and won game 2, but could not manage to finish it out in the last two, making the final score 1-3.
This was an unfortunate loss for them, as Andover is a team they felt they should have won against. This was brought about as a result of new coaching and small mistakes piling up.
“We actually have quite a few good players, but the little dumb mistakes that people kept making screwed us over,” Right-side hitter Kendra Harris ‘26 said. “Volleyball’s a game of mistakes and when you can’t stop making them, it’s really difficult to do well. Like our passing was actually pretty good, we just couldn’t work elsewhere.”
This loss brings their season record to 0 and 9, but they’re still holding on to hope to pull through with the win in one of their upcoming matches.
