Rogers hockey team beats Bison in rivalry rematch

The rivalry built between Rogers and Buffalo was tested on Thursday, February 3, ending in a four to one loss for the Bison hockey team.

Two hours before the varsity hockey game began fans clad in all white filtered into the Buffalo Civic Center. Signs were in place along the boards, the stands were full of fans, and authorities stood by awaiting the game a half hour before its start.

The game began with an impressive noise level which did not falter after Rogers scored the first goal of the game. Sophomore Aaron Rause, number 22,  brought the game to a tie at one to one shortly after that, bringing the noise level up with it.  Despite every goal made by Rogers after that moment, the crowd never lost their energy.

This second loss against Rogers leaves the Bison Hockey record at three wins and 13 losses.  Both those there for a rematch on the ice or a prospective showdown between fans may have been disappointed, although the sheer energy within the arena would have amazed anyone.
