On April 27th, Buffalo Highschool’s National Honor Society inducted over 100 new members into their ranks.
Students with a GPA average of 10.0 or greater were offered the chance to prove their character by participating in National Honor Society. This year’s induction ceremony filled up the PAC with eager students and family members ready to applaud for the students’ success. With character, scholarship, leadership, and service as the four pillars that NHS is built upon, the inductees were lectured briefly on the importance of their new official roles as student leaders in the high school and about the duties they have to uphold. To cap off their agreement to their rules the students recited the National Honor Society pledge, and with their final words ringing out, the maters were settled.
“I am so impressed by the kids this year.” said NHS advisor Brigitta Rettmann, “To see so many students commit their time and effort for something so good as NHS makes me very proud. They worked so hard for this night and I am so glad to award them for it.”
