Lacrosse team falls short but with valiant effort

The Buffalo Bison Boys Lacrosse Team’s first game as a school sport started off with a loss (10-4) against Spring Lake Park on Thursday, April 14.

The conditions for the game weren’t exactly what the team was hoping for, with high winds and very cool temperatures.  At one point, it even began to hail.  The teams were able to zone out the weather and still play to the best of their abilities.

Junior Sam Mayhew and Senior Louie Clifton both scored goals for the Bison.  Clifton was mentioned as a top lacrosse athelete in the ESPN Rise magazine, MN edition.

“The score didn’t seem to be 10-4 because of the intensity on both sides.  They just seemed to get off to a faster start than us,” said Senior Garrison Elsenpeter.  Elsenpeter was also mentioned in the Rise magazine.

The boys’ next game is on Monday, April 18th, against St. Cloud Tech at 6:30.
