On May 17, Globally Minded Student Activist (GMSA) will be holding a fundraiser, dedicated to raising money to aid in the battle against human trafficking. It is located at Buffalo High School and cost of attendance is $ 7 USD. Flyers can be seen around Buffalo and the surrounding area.
There is an estimated 1,000,000 – 2,000,000 (UNESCO) people trafficked world wide. However, researchers find this number to be unaccredited. An often un-reported problem; most law enforcement programs do not have incentive to investigate leads.
At the fundraiser there will be food, beverages, dance and music performances as well as a silent auction. The auction will feature; art work, jewelry, crafts and gift baskets.
