The JV Girls’ Basketball team recently ended their season with an undefeated record of 21-0-0. Their closest game was the first game of the season.
“It was a really close game and eventually went into overtime,” said Head Coach Scot Sorenson. “but the girls were able to beat them at the end.”
The majority of the JV team was made up of juniors who already had prior JV experience in previous years. This gave the Bison an advantage over the course of the season.
“Going into the season we figured we would have a pretty strong team,” said Sorenson. “Most of the juniors were already experienced players and the sophomores and freshman who played were pretty strong skilled also.”
Some players split time between playing JV and varsity, which also added skill and experience to the team.
“We worked well together as a team,” said Junior Kasey Wycoff. “We play well together, there are a players who have a chance to play, and it really helped to have 5 varsity players also. Next year’s varsity should be pretty good too because it’s a lot of the same people returning.”
