Buffalo Nerf War Round 2
The Buffalo Nerf War started its second round on Friday, May 15th after last years first war fell through. This year it is run by Senior Dani Maas through a twitter page named ‘ROUND 2 (@buffalo_nerf2)’ where you can find this years competitors, rules, and matchups. The nerf assassins game is a team competition, where teams use nerf guns to eliminate the other teams members until one team is left. Teams consist of 6 people and it costs $10 per team.
“I wanted to run the nerf war this year because last year it was super unorganized,” said Maas.
This year, there have been a few violated rules, but they have all been worked out.
“The rules are the rules, if someone has a conflict with the rules, we talk about it and figure out what was violated or what the rules are,” said Maas.
This years war has started off very gruesomely with a duct tape abduction and waterborne attack. Many students here at BHS are adamant in winning, and will play in any weather to get a team kill.
“It was raining and lightning out, so we were able to get muddy and blend in a bit. Before we knew it, I shot Sophomore Harlan Johnson and we were in the storm drainage,” said Junior Michael Sawdey. “It was a complete team effort. I couldn’t have done it without my teammates.”
To keep posted on the nerf war, stay tuned to twitter and good luck teams.
