Boy’s Hockey wins first Conference in five years
Last night, Boy’s Hockey traveled to Cambridge in hope of clinching their first Mississippi 8 conference championship in five years, and they did exactly that. The boy’s were on their game last night, hustling to each and every loose puck with an extra fierceness in every stride.
“We went into the game really excited to win,” said Junior Jesse Sullivan.
The Bison won 2-0, with junior goalie Tim Harkess getting the ever so elusive shutout. Cambridge ended the game with 32 shots, but couldn’t manage to slip a single one by Harkess.
“I was really on, because I wanted our team to get a banner hung up in our arena,” said Harkess.
The Bison are currently 12-10-2, and their next game will be on Valentine’s Day. They will hope to take down Hopkins, but it will be an uphill battle with 11 players currently injured, or out due to other unspecified reasons. It will be senior night, and the Bison will need all the help they can, so get out the rink and show your support for the graduating seniors and the herd.
